There has been some concern recently over how attacks of minimal characters have been getting a disproportionate amount of points. To address this we ask that when categorizing your attack you categorize attacks of characters similar to the ones shown above, as well as characters that have simply lines for their body/limbs, as “head/bust shot”.
While these attacks feature the character’s entire body they do not include “an entire body” and as such should not be categorized as full body. Thank you for understanding! We will be going back and adjusting the categorization of attacks to fit this interpretation of the rules. If you see any related attacks that are marked incorrectly, you may report them (don't worry, such attacks will not get an official warning). We plan on addressing this in a more integrated manner before next year's fight.

Another question:what if you do a lineless drawing?

This has probably already been mentioned, but I have been wanting to suggest something like a "chibi" category? A small cutesy fullybody is really not the same as a fully proportional detailed fullbody
Regarding a comment I saw about chibis. . . . I'm attempting to draw some now and chibi humans are a lot harder to draw imo lol x'D

Nice to see the staff here adjust things accordingly  <3
Nice! Clarification is always good.
Also something that may have been suggested before? Since we are talking about score worth here
Perhaps for the category which drops down the amount of body shown, there should be a chibi section? I feel it would also require full, half or head, but I see a lot of really simple chibis going for the same amount of complex detailed full bodied piece. On commission sheets, chibis typically cost less then the artists full real sized pieces, so I figured it would maybe be a fitting addition one day?

Awesome, thanks for the clarification!
I can't say I've seen such a character, but I appreciate the staff being on the ball tweaking rules to keep things fair.
Perfect for my Jeffy XD

Sweet. More clarification. It's cool that you guys do the thing. And add rules as they may apply. Always good to test things out like that
Huh, interesting!  I don't think I've seen any of those.  I can see why this rule was adjusted, though.

right now speedpaint is mostly used for lineless, soft shaded pieces! there are some exceptions to this is what usually falls into this category.  if you are unsure of something you can always report it.
we're going to take a long hard look at both the attack guide and our attack categories before next years art fight.
I almost hate to ask this, but are there restrictions on what is or isn't considered a speedpaint? Cuz I've seen some disproportionate point distribution for things claimed to be speedpaints, but I haven't said anything because technically anything is a speedpaint if you just paint it fast. :/ Also, will there be more elaborate scoring guidelines for lineart?
Thank you so much for this. So many people were abusing this so its cool to see you guys put this new rule in action!

Oh that's an interesting one :0 I haven't actually seen any examples of this floating around yet, but I think this is pretty fair. Props to admins!
