EmmyBlubonic, Im sorry but I agree with UnearthlyOne, as they say, this event sounds like this isnt for you if you dont think that a passive competition is ok (literally tho, youd be surprised how many people find the addition to teams and points FUN) 
And secondly, you seem to forget what the spirit of art fight is;
While Art Fight features a competition between two teams, at its core it is a game that celebrates characters and giving back to fellow creators. Our goal is to create a positive environment where artists of all skill levels can participate and make art for one another.
Please keep negativity out of the comments if you can, if you just want to do art trades literally go anywhere and ask on social media/art groups bc Im sure theres people who would be open to them, but for the sake of this event, it is not wanted here to most people to be complained to about enjoying this event when you didnt

First artfight and it was amazing! I love everything about so many different artists coming together in a community and I’m nearly sad it is coming to an end but that means I’m most definitely taking part next year!

Despite what happened it was still a very fun artfight as always.

Anyways, I'm looking for some simple shaped characters or cats to cash in a couple extra points! Go Vampires!

EmmyBlubonic because ArtFight is doing exactly what it’s intended and stated to. There isn’t a problem with a competitive game /existing/, it just may not be what you enjoy. Again back to the romance novel example - different genres existing is fine, you don’t have to enjoy all of them, just don’t read the ones you don’t like. Plenty of people enjoy competition and get more motivated by it, ArtFight obviously has its audience. If you actively dislike points and competition then why join something explicitly based around them?

(Also look if you’d like me to drop it or take this out of comments and to DMs or something I can - it just seems like a weird stance and I’m trying to understand, the ‘why join’ question is genuine and not rhetorical)
