This... honestly does not instill much hope. Art Fight has been so much fun and even though the website isn't perfect, the community just grows with each passing year and I know we all want a resolution to this whole ordeal. People had their money taken and used for things that weren't disclaimed to anyone, which is basically scamming. The volunteers and other staff deserve to be recognized and we need a leadership team that will be open, honest, and passionate with the community that's been built here for nearly a decade. Taikaia, please do better. Everyone else, please don't let this year kill your spirit, we're still here and waiting for next year.

reeeeeeally not a good look for our new overlords here....

public drama, damaging the player experience by transferring power mid-fight instead of in the off season, claiming superior finance transparency and then just saying 'yes continue to give us your money don't worry' without even a smidge of a plan for where the money will go, advertising new 'feedback forums' without a link and not answering anyone's questions about it even weeks later, promising a news post about the power transfer at a specific date and not only failing to follow through with that, but not giving any kind of 'sorry gotta postpone that' update....

personally i miss takaia and am glad i have my own art trading server... but who knows maybe their communication is trash but they'll blow me away with their actual results... at some point.

I hope staff is doing alright! Hopefully the owner transfership is going as smooth as it possibly can.

do not allow management to sweep the ownership stuff under the rug. keep talking about the owner transfer for at least as long as possible until there is confirmation that takaia holds zero power over the site.

I definitely agree with the ideas about being patient and not harassing staff members, and I get that they're volunteers. But I think that we should get an update on what's happening, even if it's "sorry for the delay or something". Especially because there are people who had paid takaia, as this situation likely affects their ability to get refunded or other compensation.

no yeah i understand the whole "we should be patient" thing like i get what MASQ is coming from, and i dont think anybody should be So impatient with this that they start throwing hands with the staff? im not saying anyone has been doing that but its important to note. but i think accountability at this point is far more important than all of us just being patient and waiting and waiting for communication that was promised to come, but still has not. takaia's already gotten away with too much shit for people to just sit comfortably with the silence, at this point. genuinely i hope the staff is doing well and i do wish them luck on figuring out this situation, but like everyone's said-- just a liiiiiittle update acknowledging the delay will definitely reassure people.

this wait must seem alarming to a lot of new & old fighters alike. i can only imagine what the staff are going through rn, and i wish them the best. 

gentle reminder to the community: the people who ( love Art Fight just as much as the concerned voices below ) serve this platform are mostly volunteers. they have lives, too, and i’m sure there’s a reasonable explanation behind the delay. i encourage patience while they sort things out.
